Position Summary

Mammography Technologist

We are looking for a Mammography Tech who will be responsible for providing mammography procedures, with 3D mammography experience and the ability to manage an MQSA program preferred. 

Responsibilities

  • Operates mammography equipment, computer, and image management systems utilized in performing breast imaging exams, including 3D mammography.
  • Will be responsible for providing mammography procedures, with 3D mammography experience and the ability to manage an MQSA program preferred.
  • Performs and assesses quality control measures on equipment and procedures to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Determines how technique selections affect image quality and makes necessary adjustments.
  • Follows established policies and procedures to maintain a safe and effective work environment.
  • Navigates online resources pertinent to job responsibilities efficiently.
    Communicates effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrates visual acuity and physical ability to lift and move patients, push and pull wheelchairs and stretchers, and withstand extensive standing, stooping, bending, squatting, or sitting.
  • Performs repetitive tasks with precision and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
  • Ability to work weekends, shift rotations, and rotating holidays as required.

Qualifications

  • ARRT registered RT-(R) (M) and meet MQSA standards for performing mammography. Mammo certification required. 
  • Experience with 3D mammography.
  • Ability to manage an MQSA program.
  • Maintains certification in BLS.
  • Personal computer skills
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Display critical thinking and decision-making skills.
