Join FirstHealth of the Carolinas in Pinehurst, NC, a leading healthcare provider renowned for its patient-centered care and commitment to excellence. We are seeking an Inpatient Physical Therapist to deliver exceptional, evidence-based physical therapy services in an acute care hospital setting at Moore Regional Hospital. Our collaborative therapy team includes occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists, who are dedicated to improving patient outcomes while fostering professional growth and mentorship. Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, plan, and administer physical therapy treatments tailored to adult patients with diverse medical, orthopedic, and neurological diagnoses.
  • Perform timely evaluations across all hospital units, including intensive care units (ICUs), emergency department (ED), and outpatient surgery areas.
  • Adaptably triage priority discharge patients, coordinating with physicians, discharge planners, and nursing staff to ensure seamless transitions of care.
  • Collaborate on co-treatments and support for heavy-assist patients when additional help is not available for the primary therapist.
  • Treat patients on units such as orthopedics, neurology, cardiopulmonology, oncology, critical care, emergency medicine, NICU/pediatrics, behavioral health, general medicine, and general surgery.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities, including mentorship programs, continuing education resources, and formal training initiatives.
  • Maintain high standards of evidence-based care and work within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited program (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education)
  • Valid licensure from the North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to varying patient needs, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
