Responsibilities

As a Full-Time Physical Therapist at FirstHealth Sanford Health and Fitness Center, you will:

    • Evaluate, Develop, and Implement Treatment Plans: Create individualized, patient-specific plans for a diverse range of patients.
    • Provide One-on-One Therapy: Utilize a variety of techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and aquatic therapy, to deliver personalized care.
    • Document Patient Progress: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices while maintaining accurate patient records.
    • Collaborate with Healthcare Providers: Work closely with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
    • Engage with a Multidisciplinary Team: Collaborate with a large team of seasoned Physical Therapists (PTs), Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), and Occupational Therapists (OTs).
    • Educate Patients and Families: Provide education on conditions, rehabilitation, and the importance of ongoing self-care.
    • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure a supportive and safe environment for both patients and staff.
    • Pursue Professional Development: Participate in continuous professional development through continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

To join our team at FirstHealth Sanford Health and Fitness Center, you should have:

  • Educational Background: Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Licensure: A current Physical Therapist license in North Carolina.
  • Certification: CPR/BLS certification is required.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to educate and motivate patients.
  • Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
