Perform phlebotomy on In-Patients and Out-Patients on all age groups for a variety of lab tests.
Obtains blood specimens by venipuncture and capillary methods, as well as urine specimens from all age groups, for a variety of lab tests and procedures. These are used in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Provides specimen collection information to nursing, patients and family members as appropriate.
High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Program which includes phlebotomy, or a minimum of 6 months full time experience in phlebotomy. ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
