Position Specific
Uses outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation individual treatment plans (ITP) in a problem-solving approach to formulate an appropriate plan of care.
Provides services with consideration of the physical, psychosocial, cultural/ spiritual and age specific needs of those served within the healthcare system.
Demonstrates appropriate use of equipment/supplies.
Uses appropriate safety and infection control measures.
Teaches/directs/advises/informs others in an appropriate manner.
Reports/records information legibly and appropriately.
Performs daily operational task as directed by Pulmonary Rehabilitation Coordinator with minimal supervision.
Communicates changes to ITP and any concerns to Pulmonary Rehabilitation Coordinator as needed.
Attends educational courses/seminars related to Pulmonary Rehabilitation to stay up to date on the latest practices.
Education/formal training/licensure/certification/experience:
Completion of accredited Respiratory Care Program required.
Current NC Respiratory care Board licensure required.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care, or completion within one year in position.
ACLS certification required (or completion within one year in position.)
Successful completion of hospital–wide, departmental specific orientation, and annual competencies.
Previous Pulmonary Rehabilitation program experience preferred
Active license in other multidisciplinary position
