Responsibilities

Echo Tech Responsibilities: 
  • Will be responsible for conducting cardiac ultrasounds on both adult and pediatric patients utilizing 2D/3D echocardiography, m-mode, color flow/doppler mapping, stress echocardiography, UEA imaging, Global Strain Analysis, TEE and structural heart assist when appropriate.  
  • Will be responsible for collecting and evaluating clinical data and recognizing life-threatening findings and reporting, in a timely manner, to the appropriate reading physicians. 
  • On a rotating basis, is responsible for all on-call duties. For our Hoke campus (no on-call duties), you must have at least 1 year of experience.
  • All functions of this role shall be performed within the guidelines of department, ICAEL and hospital policies. 

Qualifications

 

Echo Tech Qualifications: 

  • Associate degree or Higher level  
  • BLS certification required 
  • Formal Training in Diagnostic Cardiac Ultrasound required 
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer RDCS (OR) Registered Cardiac Sonographer RCS required 
  • New Grads Welcome! New Grads will have a departmental screening and test conducted
