The inpatient pharmacy is currently seeking a clinical staff pharmacist. Applicant will rotate through central and decentralized staffing assignments.
Must be confortable with all aspects of the medication management process. Must be proficient with order verification as well as all departmental clinical dosing protocols. Must be comfortable with technology in a highly automated environment.
Graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy and currently licensed by the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy. Must acquire sufficient continuing education credits to fulfill state requirements for maintenance of license. Preference given to applicants who have completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or can demonstrate equivalent experience.
Thorough knowledge of pharmaceuticals and appropriate pharmacy practices. Ability to work in and organize activities that are carried out in relation to established procedures and techniques within the pharmacy department. Attention to detail is necessary as a means of preventing errors in interpretation and mathematical calculations. Must be able to handle high volume workload and stressful situations, prioritize tasks and follow through to see that job responsibilities are completed. Maintain clinical and professional competency levels appropriate to the services provided and to the needs of the different age groups served. Interpersonal communication skills are imperative to effectively communicate with both our professional customers and patients utilizing our services.
