Position Summary

First in Quality, Safety and Excellence, Respect for the individual, Service to others and Teamwork. These are the Core Values at FirstHealth Cancer Center in beautiful Pinehurst, North Carolina. We are seeking a full-time Medical Dosimetrist to work in our team-oriented enviroment. 

 

Our Comprehensive Cancer Center is equipped with two Varian TrueBeams, a Philips Big Bore CT with MMSim and an integrated Aria/Eclipse V16.1 infrastructure. This year we were approved by the State of NC for an additional CON (Certificate of Need) for a third linac. Come join our team of three Radiation Oncologists, three Physicists and three Dosimetrists treating an average of 80 patients per day. Our treatment techniques include Electron, 3DCRT, IMRT/VMAT, SBRT/SRS/SRT and HDR. We utilize RadFormation's AutoContour, ClearCheck, EZFluence and ClearCalc. 

 

This position offers a desirable hybrid remote schedule at the completion of the orientation period. 

Responsibilities

Assist in localization procedures using CTSim and participate in the preparation of treatments aids and immobilization devices in collaboration with Radiation Therapists. Perform image registrations and assist in the outlining of anatomical structures and target volumes. Generate isodose distributions via Eclipse software and perform accurate calculations in collaboration with Radiation Oncologists and Physicists. Attend and participate in departmental meetings. Maintain compliance with all department, organization and state policies and procedures. 

Qualifications

A Certified Medical Dosimetrist with two years dosimetry experience OR a graduate of an accredited Medical Dosimetry Training Program recognized by the MDCB is preferred.  Board eligible with certification by the MDCB within two years of graduation from the program.
